BROWNSVILLE – Raymond W. Hayes, 91, of Bee Spring died March 7, 2007, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a retired mechanic in civil service at Fort Knox, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church and a past member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge No. 355 F&AM. He was a son of the late Julia Metcalfe Hayes and William Hayes and the husband of the late Maxine Ashley Hayes. He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Hayes.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville chapel, with burial at Bee Spring Church Cemetery, with graveside service by Nisbet Alexander Memorial Post No. 6937 VFW. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Charles Hayes and his wife, Marilyn, of Sweeden; a daughter, Peggy Priddy and her husband, Steve, of Bee Spring; four grandchildren, Danny Hayes of Brownsville, Jeff Hayes of Louisville, Cindy Vincent of Marion, Ill., and Anna Leigh Powell of Hardinsburg; three great-grandchildren, Chelsye and Justin Vincent of Marion, Ill., and Joshua Noah Powell of Hardinsburg.
