A 21-year Bowling Green man was indicted Wednesday by a Warren County grand jury on a charge he had sexual intercourse with a physically helpless woman.

Keliikekoa K. Hooper, 1520 College Heights Boulevard, was indicted for first-degree rape in connection with the incident that occurred around Nov. 10.

Hooper is accused of taking advantage of a woman who was physically incapacitated, said Chris Cohron, commonwealth’s attorney for Warren County.

The woman was physically unable to give consent to the act, according to the indictment.

Bond was set at $25,000 cash and Hooper is to have no contact with the woman.

Peggy Walker, 51, 764 Red Clover Ave., was also indicted for her role in the death of George L. Wangner Jr., 42, of Bowling Green.

Walker has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants. Walker was driving east on Memphis Junction Road at about 11:40 a.m. on March 5 when she failed to negotiate a corner, according to the original Warren County Sheriff’s Department report.

Her vehicle crashed into a tree and caught fire, said Capt. Tony Chism. Wangner was a passenger in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initially alcohol was not suspected in the crash but it was later learned that alcohol was involved, Chism said. The fire may have eliminated the smell of alcohol from the vehicle.

Bond for Walker was set at $25,000 cash.
