Warren Risse

Warren Risse, 67, of Bowling Green died at 4:51 p.m. Sept. 17, 2006, at his residence.
The St. Louis native was retired from General Motors. He was a member of the American Legion and the local U.A.W No. 2164. He enjoyed traveling, yard work, e-mailing his buddies and building model Navy ships. He also enjoyed the yearly reunion with the veterans of the U.S.S. Okanogan. He was a son of the late Herman Risse and Martha Rose Risse. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Woodson; and two great-grandchildren, Melanie and Emmalee Westhoff.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Robins Risse; five daughters, Debbie Woodson and her husband, David, of Jefferson City, Mo., Doris Grimes and her husband, Troy, of Jackson, Mo., Glenda Merseal and her husband, Rick, of DeSoto, Mo., Sherry Smith and her husband, Ryan, of Larwill, Ind., and Lisa A. Cooper of Bowling Green; a son, Danny Myers and his wife, Londa, of DeSoto; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several cousins.
