€A pancake breakfast is from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sept. 16 at Hillvue Heights Church, 3219 Nashville Road. General admission is $4; Western Kentucky University students and faculty and children older than 12, $3; and children 12 and under get in free. All proceeds benefit the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students at WKU.

€Cherry’s Chapel Church celebrates 103 years with a homecoming beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 10.

€First Church of the Nazarene, 1503 Westen Ave., has a yard sale Sept. 16. Proceeds go to the church and youth department. The teens plan a car wash and breakfast.

€Homecoming Ministries has a tent revival with preaching and singing services beginning Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. each night. Different preachers and singers are featured each night, rain or shine. Preachers and singers are invited to participate.

€The Sisterhood of Christ Assembly Church has a prayer luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 9 at the church, 506 Glen Lily Road. Sis. €Bro. Michael Montgomery, a native of Pontotoc, Miss., who now resides in Bowling Green, preaches his initial sermon at 6 p.m. Sunday at Loving Springs Baptist Church. He is a 1995 graduate of Western Kentucky University and a local businessman. He is married to Shannah Banks Montgomery and they have two teenage daughters, Sylethia and Heaven.

€Bowling Green Christian Church celebrates its recent growth by adding a third service to its Sunday worship Sunday. €Naomi and the Segos from Macon, Ga., and the Turner Family from Bowling Green perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at Scottsville Historical Tabernacle on Holland Road. Admission is free and a love offering will be taken.

€The Turner Family has several singings scheduled: 7 p.m. EDT Saturday at Happiness Way General Baptist Church; and at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 10 at Little House of Prayer in Horse Cave for homecoming services. The group, which has been singing for more than 41 years, is hosting its annual Homecoming Sing at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 at Warren East High School Auditorium, 6867 Louisville Road. Special guests are the Sons Family from Means and the Farmers from Paducah. Admission is free. Door prizes will be given away. A love offering will be received and concessions will be available.
