SUMMER SHADE – Jeffrey Barton Hodges, 41, of the Eighty Eight community died June 27, 2006, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was a farmer, a carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a 1983 graduate of Barren County High School and attended Kentucky Wesleyan College and Western Kentucky University. He was a son of Gary and Janet Hodges of Mount Herman, who survive.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at White Cemetery Chapel, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Friday at McMurtrey Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to a trust fund created for Bart’s children at Edmonton State Bank, P.O. Box 1149, Glasgow, KY 42141 or can be made in person at any bank location.
Other survivors include his wife, Ellen Leftwich Hodges; a son, John Barton Hodges; two daughters, Taylor Brooke Hodges and Marlee Dale Hodges; two sisters, Marla Beth Bradshaw and her husband, Kevin, of Temple Hill and Jana Jill Dubree and her husband, Joel, of Mount Herman; two aunts, Mary Hodges Smith and Becky McPherson; three uncles, Dr. Stanley Hodges, George Smith and Douglas McPherson; two nieces, Chelsie Taite Bradshaw and Callie Costin Dubree; and two nephews, Colby Nash Bradshaw and Nolan Garth Dubree.
