Okari Arshay Moore, 18, of Bowling Green died May 1, 2006, at The Medical Center.
She was employed by D & F Grocery Store and was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She received the Academic Achievement Award and was a member of Bowling Green High School ROTC Cadet Challenge. She enjoyed music and dancing. She was a daughter of Jerry Richard Whitlow of Bowling Green, who survives, and the late Carol Moore.
Funeral arrangements, which are incomplete, are under the direction of Burnam & Son Mortuary.
Other survivors include a daughter, Ta’Nyia Moore Ray of Bowling Green; three sisters, Ta’Sha Whitlow, Shea Whitlow and Ta’Nisa Moore, all of Bowling Green; two adoptive brothers, Jerry Moore and his wife, Karen, and Deon Moore and his wife, Cindy, all of Bowling Green; an adoptive sister, LeAnn Moore of Bowling Green; an adoptive mother, Maudella “Dolly” Mckinney-Moore and her husband, Clifford, of Bowling Green; a grandfather, Walter Dixon of Bowling Green; a grandmother, Linda McCormick of Franklin; a great-grandmother, Elsie Moore of Franklin; three aunts, Jimella Smith and Sarah Moore, both of Franklin, and Mattie Kirby of Bowling Green; four uncles, Virgil Moore of Mississippi and Robert Moore, Oscar Moore and James Moore, all of Franklin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
