Leatrice Ray Bell, 62, of Bowling Green died April 23, 2006, at her residence.
She was a retired domestic worker. She was a daughter of the late William Ray and Izora Kirby Ray and the wife of the late Jacob Bell. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Tinsley; a sister, Anita Ray; and two brothers, Perry and Richard Ray.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member. She also was a member of the church’s Ladies Chorus. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Burnam & Son Mortuary.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Sylvia Bell and Diane Bell, both of Louisville; a stepson, Jacob Bell Jr. of Louisville; three adoptive sons, Perry Ray, James Ray and Jeremy Ray, all of Bowling Green; a son-in-law, Robert Tinsley of Louisville; a sister, Vera Ray Follin of Bowling Green; a brother, James Ray and his wife, Cora, of Bowling Green; several stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a caregiver, Bonita Ray of Bowling Green.
