EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Allison &#8220Ali” Marie Carter, 20, of Evansville died April 2, 2006, in Bowling Green as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

She was a sophomore at Western Kentucky University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and was a Kappa Alpha Belle in the Kappa Alpha fraternity. She attended services at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Wednesday and Sunday evenings on Western’s campus. She was a 2004 graduate of Memorial High School. She played soccer on the Memorial High School girl’s soccer team and earned a letter in the sport. Ali spent her summers working at Showplace Cinema, Hartke Pool and helped with the Browning Genealogy Study. Summers were special to Ali and she loved swimming, water skiing on Lake Barkley, lying in the sun, relaxing with her friends and vacationing with her family. Ali’s love was gentle and soft like the summer breeze. She created the light in the room and the fun began. Spending time with her friends, Ali loved people. Outgoing and friendly, Ali never knew a stranger. When Ali smiled, there was nothing more lovely. Her special charisma radiated from her smile and created a cheerful atmosphere. She was always positive, happy and free-spirited. Ali loved life and lived every minute to the fullest. Taking pictures of her friends and family with her camera, Ali was able to &#8220catch the moment” with her lens. Ali loved her friends and family and cherished each moment she spent with those she loved. She was a daughter of Michael Carter and Rebecca Browning Carter of Evansville, who survive.

Funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, where she was a member and attended grade school, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. A Memorial Sharing of Memories is at 7 p.m. Friday at Browning Funeral Home.
