About one in four Kentucky children live in poverty.

That’s why Girl Scouts are asking their communities to join them in Wee Care, a Girl Scout service project through Feb. 18. Local Girl Scouts will be collecting diapers, diaper wipes, receiving blankets, books and educational toys such as blocks, rattles and stacking toys. Girl Scouts will deliver all contributions to local agencies for distribution to needy families.

All items can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Girl Scout office, 1502 Westen St., Suite 6.
