After being open for business 30 years, Homestead of Franklin will soon become a Tractor Supply Co.
“Everything is 20 percent off at Homestead now-a-days,” said Andy Gray, store manager of Homestead since its doors first opened.

Homestead is in the liquidation process. Once all the merchandise is sold, ownership of the store at 1075 S. Main St. in Franklin will change over to TSC, according to Gray, who expects TSC to take over in May.
Last year was a good one for Homestead of Franklin, which reported its highest year in sales and profit.
Gray said that’s when Homestead’s investors felt they were ready to retire.
“Some customers say they’re sad to see us go, others thanked us for years of service, and wished us well,” Gray said.
Homestead opened its doors on March 25, 1977.
Tractor Supply will also gain the Homestead stores in Union City, Tenn., and Springfield, Tenn., as part of the acquisition.
