BG leadership program sets graduation ceremony

The Leadership Bowling Green Alumni Association Inc. will hold a graduation program for Bowling Green and Warren County students who have completed the 2005 Student Turning Education into Potential Program at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Greenview Regional Hospital, which is sponsoring the ceremony.
The S.T.E.P. program develops fundamental leadership skills in high school seniors and exposes students to numerous civic, educational and vocational opportunities within the community. Participants in the program attend a half-day retreat and day-long programs on media and the arts, education, agri-business and economics, health and human resources and local government and justice.
The participants in the program are selected based on strong academics and community and school involvement.
This year’s participants were: Joy Harris of Bowling Green Christian Academy; Meredith Leigh Beckner, Elizabeth Covington, Harriette Hines, Lindsey Houchin, Soyeon Lee, Nina Marijanovic, Coleman Allen Martin, Matt Miller, Janita Patel, Sarah Pierce, Ervin Puskar, Melissa Rickman, Bryant Kyle Russell and Emily Thomas of Bowling Green High School; Susan Abell, Laura Michelle Clark, Amanda Gorski, Tara Hill, Emily Monroe and Jordan Stivers of Greenwood High School; Robert A. Cobb, Dustin Kirby and Lily Lim of Warren Central High School; and LeeAnna M. Alvey, Steven Alvey, Ryan Barrick, Cody Davis, Melissa Jessup, Ashley Pearson, Kimberly Simpson, Connie Webster and Cimeyon Witty of Warren East High School
The LBGAA includes community leaders who are graduates of the Leadership Bowling Green program, which is presented by the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.
