Elizabeth Streib

Elizabeth Streib, 68, of Alvaton died at 1:55 p.m. Sept. 27, 2005, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville.

The Green Township, Ind., native was the retired credit manager at Auburn Leather Co. and a member of Hillvue Heights Church. She graduated from Swayzee High School in 1955. On Sept. 9, 1956, she married Navy Third Classman William C. Streib in Green Township. Her working career included the position of purchasing manager at Delta Electric in Marion, Ind., where she bowled with the Deltettes, a league sanctioned by Delta in honor of the World War II victory. She was serving as treasurer for Market Moguls Investment Club. She enjoyed reading, gardening and outdoor activities. After her retirement, she became an avid golfer. She enjoyed all aspects of life and was a loving wife and mother and a friend to many. She was a daughter of the late Earl C. Floyd and E. Marguerite Small Floyd of Marion, who survives.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, and at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Needham Storey Wampner Funeral Home in Marion, Ind., with burial in Gardens of Memory in Marion. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, and will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Needham Storey Wampner Funeral Home.

Other survivors include her husband, William Streib; a son, Gary Streib and his wife, Glenda, of Marion; a brother, Ronald Floyd and his wife, Mineva, of Marion; a granddaughter, Renee Streib of Kokomo, Ind.; and two stepgrandchildren, Jennifer and Jeffery Henline, both of Marion.
