“I just thank God every day for the Morgantown Mission. It has been such a blessing to be a part of the work here.” These are the words of Gene Hunt Vaughn, who has led the volunteers of Morgantown Mission for about 9 years.

He, in fact, spends about 30 hours per week volunteering there. The mission feeds the hungry, clothes and shelters the homeless and provides the spiritual nourishment and social outlet that youths, families and seniors all need. It also helps families locate jobs and get off welfare. Its Thrift Store, which is one of the most successful parts of the program, has financed the work of the mission and pays the rent, utilities and upkeep.
