Prince Albert Fant, 70, of Eads, Tenn., died Aug. 2, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
The Oakland native was employed by Warren Rural Electric, was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church of Memphis and was a deacon. He was a son of the late Garland Fant and Pauline France Fant. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ashley; a father-in-law, Roscoe Davidson; and by Joseph McDaniel, husband of Ella McDaniel of Bowling Green, sister-in-law.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Union Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Mount Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Smiths Grove. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Burnam & Son Mortuary.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Davidson Fant; a daughter, Leslie Fant Johnson and her husband, Melvin E. Johnson Jr. of Eads; two granddaughters, Alexxas and McKenzie Johnson, both of Eads; a grandson, Melvin E. Johnson III of Eads; a brother, Kenneth Fant and his wife, Shirley, of Smiths Grove; two sisters, Ruth Price and Blanche Fant Fox, both of Bowling Green; a mother-in-law, Edna Davidson of Sunnyside; several nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, Robert L. Davidson and his wife, Dorothy, Thomas Davidson and his wife, Loretta, and Harlis Davidson and his wife, Thelma, all of Indianapolis; and three sisters-in-law, Helen Anthony and her husband, the Rev. Roy Anthony, and Ella McDaniel, all of Bowling Green, and Janice Simpson and her husband, Michael, of Detroit.
