Raymond Eugene “Elvis” Epley Jr., 35, of Bowling Green died at 11:55 p.m. July 24, 2005, on Oakland-Smiths Grove Road in Oakland.
The Bowling Green native was a route driver for Southern Recycling Inc. and a member of Madison Avenue General Baptist Church. He was a son of Raymond Eugene Epley Sr. of Bowling Green and Lou Nell Brumett of Bowling Green, who survive. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Raymond Brumett; and paternal grandparents, John Epley Sr. and Helen Louise Thompson Epley.
Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel.
Other survivors include a brother, Kevin Ray Epley of Bowling Green; a maternal grandmother, Earline Brumett of Bowling Green; a nephew, Luke Epley of South Carolina; four aunts, Gaye Wilbanks, Susie Basham, Lisa Kinser and Shirley Torrence, all of Bowling Green; five uncles, Ronnie Epley Sr. and Jackie, Jimmy, Joseph and Ray Brumett, all of Bowling Green; and several cousins.
