BROWNSVILLE William C. Bill French Sr., 80, of Brownsville died June 13, 2005, at his residence.

The Jefferson County native was a retired salesman, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans and Fairview United Baptist Church. He was a son of the late William French and Mary Meredith French. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Patton Funeral Home, with burial in Poplar Spring Church Cemetery with military services. Visitation will be from 11 am. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society, Greenwood Courtyard, 2425 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Brooks French; a son, Bill French Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Brownsville; four daughters, Carolyn Kendall Hogan of Flager, Fla., Sherry Rippy and her husband, Chris, of Bowling Green, and Debbie Minyard and her husband, Butch, and Donna French, all of Pig; a brother, Gene French of Florida; five grandchildren, David Hogan, Shelly French, Angela Lawler, Ashley Durbin and Jena Johnson; and four great-grandchildren.  Daily News ·813 College St. ·PO Box 90012 ·Bowling Green, KY ·42102 ·270-781-1700
