Billy Joe Michaels, 66, of Franklin died at 12:33 p.m. May 18, 2005, at The Medical Center.

The Fonde native was a machine operator with Kennmetal in Whitehouse, Tenn., and a Baptist. He was a son of the late William H. Michaels and Luella Roddy Michaels of Miamisburg, Ohio, who survives. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Other survivors include his wife, Linda Joyce Mason Michaels; two sons, Tim Michaels and Greg Michaels, both of West Carrollton, Ohio; two daughters, Kim Cloyd of Bowling Green and Tina Bonds of Franklin; four brothers, Don Michaels of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Charles, Jerry and David Michaels, all of Miamisburg, Ohio; a sister, Carolyn Michaels of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
