Yvonne Thomas Newton, 67, of Bowling Green died at 1:40 p.m. March 19, 2005, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

The Warren County native was a retired insurance claims auditor for the Cabinet for Human Services Employment Office and a homemaker. She was a daughter of the late Jesse Richard Dick Thomas Sr. and Mildred Allene Harrel Thomas.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, where she was a member, at Fairview No. 2 Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday at J.C. KirExpressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church, 621 E. 12th St., Bowling Green, KY 42101.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Newton and his wife, Julie, and Scott Newton, all of Bowling Green, and Shannon Newton and his wife, Sandy, of Scottsville; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Michael, Savannah, Nicholas and Olivia Newton, all of Bowling Green, and Silas and Sarah Newton of Scottsville; a brother, Dickie Thomas of Bowling Green; three nephews, Kevin, Kelly and Troy Thomas; and a niece, Lisa Thomas.  Daily News ·813 College St. ·PO Box 90012 ·Bowling Green, KY ·42102 ·270-781-1700
