BROWNSVILLE Phillip W. Brooks, 54, of Mammoth Cave died Feb. 4, 2005, in Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a self-employed construction worker. He was the son of the late Almon A. Brooks and Mable Kidwell Brooks, who survives.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hill Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at Pattons Brownsville chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Vanda Brooks; two sons, Terry Brooks of Glasgow and Josh Brooks of Mammoth Cave; three daughters, Sherry Brooks of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Abbie Brooks and Amanda Brooks, both of Mammoth Cave; one step-son, Shawn Houchin of Glasgow; four step-daughters, Beth Wolfe and Julie Burba, both of Cub Run, Rebecca Nelson of Boonesville and Ellen Sawyer of Beattyville; three brothers, Eddie Brooks and Clyde Brooks, both of Mammoth Cave, and Charles Weldon Brooks of Bowling Green; four sisters, Nelsie Taylor, Barbara Wilson and Nina Childress, all of Mammoth Cave, and Jean Wilson of Cub Run; and two grandchildren.
