Brothers charged in connection to weekend shooting in Scottsville

Joe Davis, 46, of Scottsville is in stable condition today in Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after being shot in the neck Saturday.
Witnesses told police that Scottsville resident Tim Pearson, 43, got into an argument with Davis over money, which led to a shooting in front of a local business, according to Scottsville Police Department Chief Don Rutheford.
Pearson later turned himself in to police.
According to the Allen County Jail, Pearson and his brother, Steve Pearson, 41, also of Scottsville, were together at the time of the shooting and both are on a $75,000 cash bond or court approved surety.
According to jail officials, Tim Pearson is charged with attempted murder and tampering with physical evidence. Steve Pearson is charged with complicity to attempted murder and tampering with physical evidence.
