FRANKLIN Bruce Allen Holcomb, 56, of Portland, Tenn., died Sept. 4, 2004, at his home.
The Toledo, Ohio, native attended Franklin-Simpson High School and Western Kentucky University and was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was a son of Horton Holcomb and Gertha Allen Holcomb of Franklin, who survive.
Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. today at Crafton Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Vietnam Veterans of Franklin-Simpson County.
Other survivors include four daughters, Tracy Holcomb of Franklin, Kim Holcomb of Lebanon, Tenn., and Gertha Mae Wilson and Betty Coolinhoughter, both of Bowling Green; five stepdaughters, Mary Ann Miller of Gallatin, Tenn., Susan Shanks of Mississippi, Jeanine Shanks of Kentucky and Tammy Herrington and Linda Halliburton, both of Franklin; two sons, Larry Burton and Timothy Burton, both of Louisville; two sisters, Nancy Hudson and Betty Sanford, both of Franklin; a brother, Mason Holcomb of Franklin; several grandchildren, including Sadie Holcomb of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
