Charles G. Hix, 68, of Bowling Green died at 12:48 a.m. July 23, 2004, in Bowling Green.

The Gainesboro, Tenn., native was a member of the Bowling Green Road Runners Club. He was a son of the late Joseph Oliver Hix and Annie McAlpin Hix and the husband of Shirley Britt Mickey Hix of Bowling Green, who survives. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Other survivors include three sons, Shayne Hix of Hendersonville, Tenn., Randy Wright and his wife, Kathy, of Nashville and Rick Wright of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, Freeman Hix and his wife, Margaret, of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Cordell Hix; a sister, Gloria Comer of Bowling Green; and four grandchildren, Kolton Hix, Jake Hix, Erik Hix and Scotty Wright.
