Restaurant inspections for June 21-30, according to Barren River District Health Department, are as follows:
McDonalds Snack Bar/Wal-Mart, 150 Walton Way, passed follow-up inspection; score 99.
Indian Hills Club, P.O. Box 3595, passed follow-up inspection; score 99.
The Learning Ladder, 808 Lain Ave., passed; score 99.
Barnes & Noble, 1680 Campbell Lane, passed; score 95.
Sbarro: The Italian Eatery, 2625 Scottsville Road, follow-up required because can opener blade was not clean or sanitized; there was no sanitizer in two wiping cloth containers; and dipper wells supply table extended down below the rim of the dipper well and into the water; score 85. Passed follow-up inspection; score 94.
Great American Donut Shop, 901 U.S. 31-W
Holley Cafeteria, 1801 Russellville Road, follow-up required because can opener blade was not clean or sanitized; score 89. Passed immediate follow-up inspection; score 93.
Bob Evans Farms Inc., 145 Three Springs Road, follow-up required because half and half individual containers, butter and ranch dressings were at improper temperature (thrown away); refrigerator was at 50 degrees in bottom (corrected); milk nozzle was not the correct length (corrected); ice machine lid was not clean or sanitized inside (corrected); sanitizer buckets tested too high for quaternary ammonia sanitizer; there was a severely dented can of green beans and pasta sauce (corrected); the sanitizer was too weak in spray bottles; non-dairy whipped topping was at improper temperature (thrown away); score 61.
Bosanka You and Me, 306 Morgantown Road, passed; score 97.
Market Place (Winn Dixie), 1640 Scottsville Road, follow-up required because macaroni and cheese, fried chicken and one end of a container of ribs were at improper temperatures (thrown away); quaternary ammonia sanitizer was at improper temperature; utensil container and its contents were not clean; and floor waxing spray bottle was labeled as sanitizer; score 83.
La Victoria, 433 Woodford St., follow-up required because there was a toxic level of sanitizer in the wiping cloth bucket; and a knife rack and knives were not clean or sanitized; score 84.
Winn Dixie, 1640 Scottsville Road, passed follow-up inspection; score 97.
G.M. Corvette Cafeteria, 600 Corvette Drive, follow-up required because there were at least two dead American cockroaches found on the floor in areas of and surrounding the cafeteria; stainless steel cleaners were stored with pizza prep utensils and pans; and 24 pints of milk were out of date; score 82.
Restaurants are inspected at least once every six months by Barren River District Health Department inspectors who use a 44-item checklist to evaluate a restaurants cleanliness, food handling and storage.
Follow-up inspections are done, if needed.
A restaurant has 10 days to correct its problem if it scores below an 85 or is cited for a critical violation.
