With regard to the July 15 article you mistakenly headlined Food review, your anonymous reviewers sophomoric attempt at skewering Chaneys Dairy Barn is both laughable and shameful at the same time. It is laughable in the sense that the mysterious reviewer has obviously bitten off a little more than he/she can chew. You see, what amuses me is that the review states, The chicken salad has walnuts in it.

Well, not quite. You see, Ive eaten at Chaneys more than once, and I have had the chicken salad.
Those arent walnuts, theyre pecans. The review continues Call me crazy, but if you arent sure what youre eating, you probably dont need to be reviewing food.
The article is shameful in the sense that the Daily News seems to be entering the business of damaging small, locally-owned restaurants with opinion articles that are not only uninformed but simple-minded.
Its bad publicity for you to pick on the little guys, especially when they use their own two hands to build quality establishments in our community.
A suggestion for the Daily News: If youre going to do a food review, find a reviewer who has functioning taste buds (preferably someone who is brave enough to reveal their identity).
A suggestion for the mysterious food reviewer: Dont quit your day job (unless, of course, this is it).
