I am pleased to hear that John Kerry has chosen John Edwards as his vice presidential candidate. Sen. Edwards is a great addition to the Democratic ticket and should cause many more moderate Republicans and independents to think more seriously about their choice for president and vice president.

Edwards brings along many great assets we cherish in our leaders. He has the charisma of Bill Clinton, the moral fiber of Jimmy Carter and the hope and optimism that made Ronald Reagan so popular. As a Southern Democrat, he understands the values we hold dear.

His family values are second to none and his belief in God is unwavering. Edwards has worked hard to be where he is today and he believes the American people can achieve greatness if given the right opportunities. He believes in rewarding those who work for a living and helping those who are no longer able to care for themselves.

America can always do better and our leaders can always serve our citizens better. Never be satisfied with the status quo.

We should always think how we can improve, not how we can stay the same. Edwards brings this philosophy and way of life to the ticket.

As Americans we all want to believe in this way of life. Edwards can give us the inspiration to live The American Dream. So everyone who thinks they want to re-elect George Bush, I ask you to reconsider now that John Edwards has joined the ticket. Kerry and Edwards will make a great team!
