MADISON, Ind. Phyllis Berry Huffman, 67, of Madison died at 10:20 a.m. June 9, 2004, at her home. The Louisville, Ky., native graduated from Park Tudor High School in Indianapolis and attended Western Kentucky University. She was a homemaker and a co-owner of Scott County Stone Co. and Berry Materials Inc., along with her husband, the late Nathaniel Price Huffman, and family. She was a member and past president of Tri Kappa sorority and a member of North Madison Christian Church, Madison Country Club, Madison Elks Club and The Bridge Club. She established a scholarship fund for any Jefferson County student attending Taylor University in Angola Ind., and was a volunteer for Kings Daughters Hospital and Madison Consolidated Schools. She was involved with the Wandering Wheels and Spokesmen Christian bicycle clubs, where she would cook and provide meals and hospitality for traveling bikers. Early in life, she enjoyed bowling. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildrens sporting events, playing bridge, horse racing and hosting family and friends in her home. She was a daughter of the late Albert Berry and Gradie Gary Berry. She was preceded in death by a foster daughter, Marsha Mosler. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member, served on various committees and was a youth group sponsor, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST Saturday at Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Girls Inc., Lide White Boys & Girls Club or Pope John Elementary School. Survivors include three sons, Barry R. Huffman and his wife, Lynn, of Monument, Colo., Zane N. Huffman and his wife, Shelley, of Indianapolis and Gary J.
