The death of a Bowling Green man at Barren River Lake State Resort Park is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police, according to a press release from the Kentucky Department of Parks. Jeremy Scott Martin, 28, was found unconscious in a loading dock area behind the lodge at about 7 a.m. May 30. He was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, where he died Thursday. The parks department doesnt know if this was an accident or if foul play could be involved, said Jim Carroll, spokesman for the parks department. There were no eyewitnesses to what happened to Martin, Carroll said, but authorities will continue to question people who were there that night to determine what happened. Were trying to piece together what the circumstances were, he said. The parks department has turned the investigation over to KSP. Martin was attending a Glasgow High School reunion at the lodge. A park staff member found him and called a park ranger and the local emergency services. Evidence was collected at the scene as Martin was transported to Nashville, the release said. Funeral services for Martin will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the House of Prayer in Edmonton, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow and after noon Monday at the church.
