Copass has been serving the church since Nov. 1 as interim pastor and began his ministry as pastor May 2. He and his wife, Glenda, are natives of Monroe County. They have two grown children. Copass is a graduate of Gamaliel High School, Campbellsville University and Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville and holds a doctorate of ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary. He has served as pastor of Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green, as well as churches in Louisville, Owensboro, Paducah, Omaha, Neb., and Venice, Fla. For the past six years, he has ministered as a full-time Southern Baptist evangelist in 160 churches in 11 different states.
