SCOTTSVILLE Bro. Fred Jewell Harmon, 81, of Eden, N.C., died at 11:30 p.m. EDT April 24, 2004, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.The Allen County native was a retired Baptist minister, serving as a pastor of various churches for over 51 years, and a World War II Army veteran. He was a son of the late Bady Harmon and Bernie Mae Cornwell Harmon.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens with military rites. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.Survivors include his wife, Mabel Conner Harmon; two daughters, Carolyn Roberson and her husband, Jeffrey, of Mount Washington and Mary Curtis of Eden; a sister, Margie Myers of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Mark Vincent of Louisville and Bruce Curtis, Benjamin Curtis and Amy Comer, all of Eden; and two great-grandchildren, Zoe Vincent and Jewell Comer.  Daily News ·813 College St. ·PO Box 90012 ·Bowling Green, KY ·42102 ·270-781-1700
