Joe Myers named to LPL Patriots ClubJoe David Myers of Myers Investment Group was named to the Linsco/Private Ledgers (LPL Financial Services) Patriots Club a status reserved for less than the top 6 percent of all representatives. Myers was recognized for his exceptional performance and commitment to client service at LPLs Master Conference. Close to 500 LPL advisors from around the United States gathered at the Hyatt Regency, Kaui Resort and Spa, where they were given the opportunity to network, receive recognition for their achievements and enjoy leisure time with peers. The conference was hosted by LPL to recognize its top-producing financial advisors for providing superior service to their clients. Womens group will have enrollment eventThe Hilltoppers 76 Chapter of the American Business Womens Association will hold a Spring Enrollment Event at its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the Travelodge on Scottsville Road. A video presentation will be made by Carolyn Elman, the national executive director. The topic of the video will be Discover Yourself through ABWA. For more information, contact Jean Fulkerson at 842-5168.Murphy recognized as certified designerThe Kentucky Board of Architects has recognized interior designer Dee Dee Murphy as a certified interior designer. Murphy is the first in the Bowling Green area to receive this distinction, according to the board. Certification of interior designers, while a new credential in Kentucky, is already established in 24 other states including the bordering states of Tennessee, Virginia, Missouri and Illinois. In order to receive this designation, applicants must, among other things, pass the rigorous national exam for the interior design profession. They also must have a number of years of education and experience in the field. Murphy graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1989 with a bachelors degree in interior design. She has been a member of the Bowling Green Homebuilders Association Womens Council since 1991, served as secretary, treasurer and a board member for several years and been on numerous committees. Murphy works for Cardinal Office Systems as a contract designer and freelances for several firms, including BA+ Architecture and Classic Paint and Wallcovering. Weaver makes partner in Lexington law firmKevin Weaver, son of David and Vickie Weaver of Bowling Green, has made partner in the Law Firm of Sturgill, Turner, Barker and Moloney, PLLC, in Lexington. The Bowling Green High School graduate completed the School of Law at the University of Kentucky in 1994. Weaver also is the vice president of the Board of Downtown Lexington Corporation, and resides in Lexington with his wife, Kristi, and daughter, Libby. Osborne earns e-PRO certificationLarry Osborne, a Realtor with Crye-Leike, recently earned the nationally recognized e-PRO certification. Held by less than 1 percent of real estate professionals nationwide, e-PRO is the official technology certification program of the National Association of Realtors.
