GLASGOW Monroe Salyer, 77, of Glasgow, formerly of Missouri, died March 3, 2004, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Nashville.The Parma, Mo., native was a World War II Army veteran, a Korean War Air Force veteran, a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardene, Mo., and attended St. Helen Catholic Church in Glasgow. He was a son of the late George and Hattie Setsebaugh Seets and was adopted by the late Joseph and Eva Salyer. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Otto Seets, Byron Salyer and W.J. Salyer; and two sisters, Ruby and Ruth Farmer.Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with military honors provided by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Survivors include his wife, Myla Hillin Salyer; a daughter, Pam Carron and her husband, Mike, of Glasgow; three sons, Kenneth Salyer of Glasgow, and Michael Salyer and his wife, Sue, of Pensacola, Fla., and Darren Salyer and his wife, Bonna, of OFallon, Mo.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips and her husband, Ryan, and Rebecca Salyer, all of Pensacola, Amy Cardwell and her husband, Greg, of Jasper, Texas, Kelly Carron Guzzardo of Glasgow, and Kristen Salyer and Adam Salyer, both of OFallon; three great-grandchildren, Shelby and Holly Phillips of Pensacola and Kendal Guzzardo of Glasgow; four sisters, Viola Pack of Independence, Mo., Donah Burgess and her husband, Roger, of Nashville, Mildred Rolf of Shelbina, Mo., and Wanda Radcliffe of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
