SCOTTSVILLE Ewell Lee Meador, 84, of Scottsville died at 7:12 p.m. Dec. 6, 2004, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The Allen County native was a retired farmer, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Halfrey Dalton Post 5712 Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Dover Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He was a son of the late Ira Lee Meador Sr. and Pearl Barger Meador. He was preceded in death Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Dover Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Jacquline Wilson Meador; a son, Gordon Meador and his wife, Sandra, of Scottsville; a daughter, Jeretta Guy and her husband, Charles D. Guy, of Scottsville; two brothers, Ira L. Meador Jr. and Billy D. Meador, both of Scottsville; six sisters, Comilla Huntsman, Greta Ransom, Jennie B. Holbrook and Bobbie Sue Sims, all of Scottsville, Geneva Britt of Indianapolis and Dorothy Keen of West Virginia; five grandchildren, Lynetta Keen, Charles Lee Chuck Meador, Denise Ann Shockley, Cynthia Lynn Reynolds and Penny Taylor, all of Scottsville; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.  Daily News ·813 College St. ·PO Box 90012 ·Bowling Green, KY ·42102 ·270-781-1700
