On Jan. 29, ATF agents and Logan County deputies searched the home of Charles Delano Boyd and found a large amount of marijuana and cash, according to a Logan County sheriffs report. Boyd and Demarcus D. Yancey, 25, 419 E. Sixth St., were arrested on drug charges. Bond information on arrestees who were taken to the Logan County Detention Center was unavailable. Arrest Warren County Sheriffs Office deputies arrested Lucky Neal Hampton, 527 Riverside Ben Leo Road, on Saturday afternoon when a fire at Hamptons residence revealed a 5-gallon air tank filled with anhydrous ammonia. According to the arrest report, the address was a known drug house, and the anhydrous ammonia is used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Hampton, 21, was charged with possession of anhydrous ammonia in unapproved container with the intent to manufacture meth. He is being held without bond in Warren County Regional Jail. Arrest Sheriffs deputies arrested Bradley Joe Cardwell of Rockfield early Sunday morning in the 500 block of Murphy Road. Attempts to stop Cardwell for speeding were unsuccessful, according to the arrest report. Assistance came from the Simpson County Sheriffs Department, Franklin Police Department and Kentucky State Police, whose officers eventually used stop sticks to stop Cardwells vehicle. Cardwell, 22, was in possession of items used in methamphetamine manufacturing. He was charged with fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture, possession of meth precursor, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, driving under the influence of intoxicants, disregarding a stop sign and traffic light, and improper passing. Police asked Metrolfes passenger, Antonio Rydell Butts, 26, 1744 Duchess Drive, to step out of the vehicle for a search. When he did, he dropped a hat in the seat. Officers could see a bag containing a large white rock in the bag, according to a city police report. The rock appeared to be 6.2 grams of crack cocaine, which officers said Butts confirmed was his, and that he had just bought it from a woman at the Travelodge Hotel. He was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Butts was released Monday from the Warren County Regional Jail on $5,000 cash bond.
