RUSSELLVILLE Myrtle Ruth Carpenter Shelton, 79, of Russellville died Sept. 1, 2003, at Logan Memorial Hospital.The Montgomery County, Tenn., native was a homemaker and member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Tom Carpenter and Mary Dixon Carpenter.Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Young Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the donors favorite charity.Survivors include her husband, Forrest C. Shelton; two daughters, Ruth Stewart and Peggy J. Walker, both of Russellville; four grandchildren, Melissa Reynolds, the Rev. David C. Stewart, Karen Walker and Teri Kelley; two great-grandchildren, LeeAnna and Victoria Kondracki; and several nieces and nephews.
