Ruby Duffer Daniel, 99, of Bowling Green died at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 5, 2003, at a local nursing home.The Warren County native was a retired educator in the Warren County and Bowling Green City School systems for 39 years, was a member of First Baptist Church of Bowling Green, Priscilla Sunday School class, Senior Adult Fellowship, Retired Teachers Association, was a Kentucky Colonel, named Tennessee Ambassador of Goodwill by the governor of Tennessee and was a graduate of Boyce High School and Western Kentucky University. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Duffer and Amanda Roark Duffer and the wife of the late Paul Daniel. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Wayne Daniel.Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Ruby D. Daniel Scholarship Fund, c/o College Heights Foundation, Western Kentucky University, 1 Big Red Way, Bowling Green, KY 42101.Survivors include a granddaughter, Paula Harner and her husband, Wayne, of Columbus, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan and Kevyn Harner, all of Columbus.
