Dr. Richard A. Granese

Dr. Richard A. Granese, 77, of Bowling Green died May 14, 2003, at his home.The Brooklyn, N.Y., native was a World War II veteran and earned masters in education and in natural sciences. He received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and then returned to teaching. He retired from administration and teaching high school science where he devoted more than 20 years. After retiring he moved with his family to Bowling Green. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, walking and sharing stories.Surviving are his wife, Dr. Diana Granese, son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Richard and Marsha Granese of Charleston, W.Va.; daughter, Dr. Jackie Granese of Trenton, N.J.; son, Robert Granese of Bowling Green; son, Michael Granese of Huntington, W.Va.; daughter, Jeanette Granese of Bowling Green; and sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Tom Constantino of Long Island, N.Y. His closest friends were Dr. Abdol Ghayoumi of Bowling Green and Joe Palumbo, John McCarthy and Pete Arculeo from New York.He was a loving and kind man who was adored by everyone he met. With all of his accomplishments in his lifetime, he was most proud of his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Service was held at 10:30 a.m. today at Holy Spirit Church in Bowling Green. Hardy & Son Funeral Home in Bowling Green is in charge of arrangements.
