Leathel Glenwood Sturdivant, 83, of Smiths Grove died at 2:40 a.m. April 11, 2003 at a local health care facility.The Barren County native was affiliated with Pet Milk Company and co-owner of R&S Texaco, member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Hays Masonic Lodge #517 and a WWII Army veteran. He was the son of the late Lorenzo Clarence Sturdivant and Bessie York Sturdivant and the husband of the late Mary Alice Richey Sturdivant. He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary David and Douglas Alan Sturdivant; a sister, Charlene Young; and two brothers, Wendell and Randolph Sturdivant.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Survivors include a sister-in-law, Shirley Boyd of Glasgow; four nieces, Julie Pacillo of Smiths Grove, Kim Hauser of Santa Claus, Ind., Carolyn Sloan of Cadiz and Marsha Hemmen of Paola, Kan.; and a nephew, Brandy Young of Glasgow.
