LEXINGTON Gladys Pauline Daab Estes, 88, of Bowling Green, formerly of Lexington, died March 31, 2003.The Norton, Va., native was a member of Southland Christian Church, the Homemakers Chorus and the Fayette County Homemakers Association. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Nellie Gray Daab. She was the wife of the late Clarence Shipton Estes. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Thornton and Jeanette Newland and a brother, Henry Gray Daab.Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland Drive with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Southland Christian Church or the Alzheimers Association.Survivors include two daughters, Susan Kay Simpson and husband, Ernon, of Bowling Green and Joan Clarine Landon and husband, Doug, of Paulden, Ariz.; two sisters, Matletta Carden and Lena Lee Bryan, both of Lexington; five grandchildren, Cannon Ray Simpson of Owensboro; Ernon Casey Simpson of Bowling Green; Matthew Preston Simpson and wife, Jennifer, of Nashville; Amy Kay Durham of Arizona and Norm L. Durham of Oregon; a great-grandchild, Brooke Durham; and several nieces and nephews.
