Raymond Darwin Baker, 77, of Bowling Green died at 4:45 p.m. March 18, 2003, at The Medical Center.The Burkesville native was a World War II veteran, a retired executive vice president of Bank of Cumberland, was a trustee, deacon and treasurer of Burkesville Baptist Church, and was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church, where he was active in various senior adult activities. He was a son of the late John Henry Baker and Mary Holland Baker. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Holland Baker.Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Living Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 1805 Westen Ave., Bowling Green, KY 42104.Survivors include his wife, Frances Cooke Baker; a sister, Betty McGrath of Waterford, Mich.; two nieces; a nephew and several greatnieces and greatnephews.
