Mable I. Herrington dies at age 100

Mable Irene Herrington, 100, of Bowling Green died at 7:45 a.m. March 12, 2003, at her residence.The Warren County native was a homemaker, a member of Oakland Baptist Church, former member of WMU and a Sunday school teacher and pianist for her church. She was the daughter of the late Forrest Hendrick and Drilla Greathouse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Edward Herrington, and a son, Maury Clinton Herrington.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Oakland Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Joe Dupont, 4623 Bristow Road, Bowling Green, KY 42103.Survivors include two daughters, Ray Frances Spinks and husband, Clyde, and Margaret JoAnn Herrington, all of Bowling Green; three sons, Richard Forrest Herrington of Oakland, David Herrington of Bowling Green and Robert Estil Herrington of Enville, Tenn.; four daughters-in-law, Frances Ann Herrington of Oakland, Colleen Herrington of Enville, Tenn., and Shirley Herrington and Dorothy Herrington, both of Bowling Green; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a niece and a nephew.
