The ownership of Scott Waste Services will be changing soon, but the companys local customers wont be able to tell. Their garbage collection will continue as before, said Lawrence White, vice president of Scott Waste Services. Primary ownership of Scott Waste Services LLC will be sold to a parent company, Waste Collections, White said. That company operates in many areas of Kentucky and Tennessee, so the deal will allow Scott Waste Services to expand its market into those areas, he said. Scott holds the franchise for all Bowling Green business and residential garbage pick-up and is one of several companies that county residents can contract with for mandatory waste removal. It has a franchise with Warren County, and were anticipating no change whatsoever in the operation of the company, from the standpoint of its employees and its collection routes and its price structure, said Stan Reagan, county solid waste coordinator who oversees trash-collection franchise agreements. The same employees will do the same jobs with the same equipment, and no pickup schedules will change, according to White. James D. Scott, James A. Scott and White have owned Scott Waste Services, which in turn operates Scott Waste Management, since the limited-liability companys formation. Although the Scotts will no longer be involved, the companys name will not change, White said. I will continue to run Scott Waste Services, as I have from day one, White said. None of our operations within the city or county, or any other county that I service, will change in any way. When this sale is final, the only thing that will go away from Scott Waste will be two of the owners. James D. Scott will devote his time to Olde Stone, a major golf-course and housing development on Scottsville Road, White said.
