The Bowling Green girls basketball team claimed the consolation bracket of the Independence Bank Classic at Owensboro Catholic as it beat Logan County 49-33.Bowling Green has won three straight games.Over the last two games, weve really played four good quarters of basketball, BGHS coach Jason Kupchella said. Thats what weve been trying to get them to do.Cary Bell had 24 points while Ashley Farmer led Logan County with 19 points.BGHS (6-5) returns to action Friday as it travels to district rival Warren East. Warren Central fought back to take a 44-43 lead on Matt Maresca’s jumper in the lane with 9:01 to play. After exchanging baskets, Gaffney tallied 10 unanswered points and went on to build a 14-point margin en route to the victory.
