SCOTTSVILLE The Rev. Leslie M. Myers, 80, of Chillicothe, Ohio, died Jan. 29, 2003, at his home.The Scottsville native was a retired chaplain at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chillicothe, a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, received a master of divinity degree from Duke University, did postgraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and was a World War II Army veteran, serving in both the European and Pacific theaters. He was a son of the late Druie Thomas Myers and Elizabeth Wade Myers. He was preceded in death by a son, Edwin T. Myers; a grandson; two sisters; and a brother.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. EST Saturday at Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home in Chillicothe with graveside service at 1 p.m. CST Monday at Union Chapel Cemetery in Scottsville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. CST Monday at T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.Survivors include his wife, Adele Wallin Myers; two daughters, Mary Elaine Myers of Jackson, Ohio, and Leslie Anne Pence of Atlanta, Ohio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
