The 2003 FOL Used Book Sale was a Win, Win Success and we would like to thank all those who contributed to this community event:The Friends of the Library depend on the people of Warren County to bring their gently used books to the main library all year long so that these donations can be sorted and stored for the annual sale. Thank you, book lovers of Warren County for making this sale possible!Setting up for the sale is a major undertaking and was made possible this year through the Warren County Jail Class D Inmate Work Program. Without this jump start by the inmates, set-up for the sale would have been completely overwhelming.FOL volunteers sort books during their set-up, restock tables and sell books during the sale, and clean up at the end of the sale. This year Sigma Phi Epsilon helped on the last day in repacking unsold books and taking down tables. We appreciate the community outreach of WKU fraternities in this years sale. The cooperation of the library staff, especially library facilities manager Sleepy Richards and Depot branch staff members, was invaluable as we invaded their building with books and people.Everyone is a winner in a successful FOL Used Book Sale. The proceeds from the sale are used for materials and programs at all the branch libraries: Sugar Maple, Smiths Grove, Depot Branch, Mobile Branch and the Main Library. Thanks again to all who helped with this years sale and, until next year, continue to bring books to the main library. We will see you next year at the 15th annual Friends of the Library Used Book Sale.Irene ErskinePresidentWarren County Friends of the Library
