CRESTLINE, Ohio Joseph M. Salvati, 19, of Crestline died at 1:20 a.m. EDT Aug. 14, 2002, at Medical College Hospital in Toledo due to injuries received in a truck accident.The Shelby native was a crew foreman for Salvati Builders, a 2002 graduate of Crestline High School and a volunteer firefighter for Crestline Fire Department. He was a son of Robert Salvati and Theresa L. Johnston Salvati of Crestline, who survive.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. EDT Monday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, where he was a member, with burial in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EDT Sunday at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a scholarship fund established in Salvatis name. Donations may be made at the funeral home.Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Bob Johnston and Ruth Johnston of Crestline; paternal grandmother, Stella Salvati of Crestline; paternal grandfather, Al Hocker of Crestline; three brothers, Allen Hocker and Ben Hocker, both of Crestline, and Deke Hocker of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Rose Salvati of Crestline; and three nieces.
