While serving 10 years in the Kentucky legislature, three years as lieutenant governor and five years as governor, I had the privilege to work with and know numerous elected officials and leaders from the county level to president. While most had good intentions, their abilities varied greatly with some able to handle the peoples business and others not as well-prepared.Barren County has one of the most capable candidates for public office that I have seen in all of my years of public service. Chris Stewart is a true jewel in my book and it is without reservation that I share my hope that you will vote for him for judge-executive. In my years of working with him, I have noticed qualities that allow him: To relate to a wide range of people, regardless of their station in life. He also is a great asset because of his relationships in Frankfort and Washington. To serve the people with knowledge because of the leadership and training seminars for county officials he has completed. To serve as judge-executive with knowledge of county affairs because of his service the last four years on the fiscal court. He is smart, tough and determined to properly take care of Barren County, and not cave in to those who do not have the best interest of the people in mind. To serve the people of Barren County with integrity because he is a good and decent man dedicated to his church, family, community and several good causes. Having lived in foster care for a number of years and been adopted, he is sensitive to the needs particularly of children of the less fortunate.Vote for, work for and elect Chris Stewart in the May 28 primary.
