FOLEY, Ala. Matthew Garrett Graham, 11, of Foley died March 29, 2002, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green, Ky., as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Bowling Green.The Fairhope, Ala., native was an all A Honor Roll fifth-grader at Foley Intermediate School, a participant in the Gifted Education Program, a recipient of The Presidents Academic Excellence and Physical Fitness awards, a recognized Accelerated Reader, a second baseman and right fielder in the Major League Division of Foleys Dixie Youth Baseball League and was on the Sunday school roll at First Baptist Church of Foley. He was a son of Michael Graham and Alicia Jenkins Graham, who survive.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The Garrett Graham Memorial Fund, South Baldwin Education Foundation, P.O. Box 307, Foley, Ala., 36536.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pine Rest Funeral Home with burial in Pine Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home in Bowling Green was in charge of local arrangements.Other survivors include a brother, Andrew Logan Graham of Foley; paternal grandparents, Bob Graham and Juanita Graham of Foley; maternal grandparents, Charley Myers and Judy Myers of Bowling Green and Don Jenkins and Elaine Jenkins of Alexander City, Ala.; maternal great-grandparents, N.A. Meredith and Juanita Meredith of Bowling Green; other immediate relatives include Teri Westbrook, Kathryn Graham and Kenneth and Andrea Graham, all of Foley, Laura Chapman of Cincinnati, and Dee Jenkins, Stacye and Jeremy Wingo and Charley Myers Jr., all of Kentucky; six cousins; and several great-aunts and uncles.
