RUSSELLVILLE The Rev. Roy L. Sears, 91, of Russellville died Aug. 11, 2001, at Logan Memorial Hospital.The Logan County native was an ordained Baptist minister for 57 years, pastoring churches in Kentucky and Tennessee, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a son of the late William F. Sears and Ella Stinson Sears and the husband of the late Mary D. Sears.Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church, where he was a member and pastor emeritus, with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home and will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Second Baptist Church Building Fund or Cedar Grove Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
