HORSE CAVE Steve Burd, 55, of Hardyville died at 1:37 a.m. March 23, 2001, at Caverna Memorial Hospital.The Hart County native was an employee of RBC Tyson Corp., a retired employee of SKF USA Bearing Manufacturing, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a son of the late G.R. Burd and Jean Dilley Burd.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Winn Funeral Home with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.Survivors include his wife, Helen Burd; two sons, Gary Burd of Campbellsville and Steven Ray Burd of Hardyville; two stepdaughters, Dana Dill of Horse Cave and Jessica London of Hardyville; three stepsons, Jeremy London of Horse Cave and Jason London and Travis Toohey, both of Hardyville; four brothers, Terry Burd and Russell Burd, both of Hardyville, Mike Burd of Cave City and Clifford Burd of Horse Cave; two sisters, Karen Kearney of Austin and Sandy Huff of Louisville; a half sister, Tracy Wright of Germantown, Ohio; a grandchild; three stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
