DEMING, N.M. William M. Robinson, 42, of Louisville, Ky., died Nov. 2, 2001, at the home of his parents in Deming.The Bowling Green native was a 1976 graduate of Bowling Green High School, where he was a member of the swim team. He was a member of the Boy Scouts during junior high and high school, earning the rank of Eagle Scout, was a paramedic, earned a bachelors degree in nursing from Spalding University in Louisville, was an emergency room and critical care nurse, recipient of the 1975 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year, 1981 Mayors Commendation of Meritorious Service and 1982 American Heart Association Outstanding CPR Instructor awards and a Commendation for Community Service in 1983, and was 1977 Medical Director State Special Olympics. He was the adopted son of William K. Robinson and Dr. A. Faye Robinson of Deming, who survive.Memorial service will be held at a later date in Louisville. Graveside service will be at a later date in Hiwassee Cemetery near Madisonville, Tenn. Arrangements are under the direction of Bacas Funeral Chapel.Other survivors include two daughters, Amber Marie Robinson and Michalia McKenzie Robinson, both of Louisville; a sister, Susan Keen of Houston; a brother, John M. Robinson of Deming; a niece; and three nephews.
